Today is Valentine’s Day, but you don't have to rush out to buy chocolates or roses just yet.
According to a survey done by the internet company "Career", a trip somewhere abroad or in the country is the valentine gift that close to 40 percent of people want.
26 percent would like to get laptop computers, while 24 percent prefer cash.
If this doesn't sound romantic, consider the activities that lovers would most like to take part in to celebrate the special day. 37 percent say any kind of activities will do.
Only 16 percent would like to go for a candle light dinner or go to a hotel to spend the night.
14 percent think a bath in the hot spring is the best, when the weather, of course, is not this warm.
今天是情人節，但你不必搶著買巧克力或玫瑰。根據一項調查，近百分之四十的人希望，情人節禮物是去國外旅行。百分之二十六想獲得筆記本電腦，而百分之二十四喜歡用現金支付。如果這聽起來並不浪漫，可以考慮在這特別的一天舉辦慶祝活動。百分之三十七則認為任何類型的活動都可以。只有百分之十六想去燭光晚餐或者去酒店過夜。百分之十四認為泡溫泉是最好的，當然不是在溫暖的天氣。

Quit Smoking (ICRT’ NEWS)
Doctors at Taiwan’s Department of Health are saying that for many people, simply relying on will-power alone is not enough to quit smoking.
According to their statistics, only thirty percent of those who try to beat the habit do so by will power alone.
Doctors say that people who couple will power with wearing a nicotine patch increase their chances of kicking-the-habit by another twenty percent.
They add that many people find it difficult to face the withdrawal symptoms of nicotine, which include depression, anxiety, low attention span, irritability and weight gain.
台灣衛生署表示，對很多人來說只是依靠意志力不足以戒菸。 據他們統計，只有百分之三十的人僅依靠意志力擊敗這習慣。醫生說，另外的百分之二十的人們使用尼古丁貼片是可以有效增加戒菸的可能性。 他們補充說，很多人覺得難以面對的尼古丁戒斷症狀，包括抑鬱，焦慮，注意力低，易怒，體重增加。

Shark Fin Soup (ICRT’ NEWS)

Environmentalists are urging Hong Kong Disneyland not to serve shark fin soup when it opens in September.
However, the park has rejected the appeals, saying the dish is a key part of Chinese banquets.
Greenpeace and the Worldwide Fund for Nature have asked Hong Kong Disneyland to take shark fin soup off the menu.
Environmentalists say millions of sharks are killed each year for their fins, driving many species close to extinction.
環保人士呼籲香港迪士尼樂園在九月開幕時，不要提供為魚翅湯時。然而，迪士尼拒絕了此項提議，認為這種食品是中宴會重要的餐點。綠色和平組織和世界自然基金會已要求香港迪士尼樂園將於次從菜單中刪除。
環保人士說，為牠們的鰭，每年數以百萬計的鯊魚被殺害，迫使許多物種瀕臨滅絕。
